Every placement is labeled "Advertisement". No sponsored fact checks, no native content dressed up as reporting.
Advertisers have no say in what we check, how we rate it, or what we publish. Verdicts come from the evidence process described in our editorial policy.
If a story involves an advertiser, it is checked exactly like any other, and the ad is removed from that story page.
We decline political campaign and issue ads, and ads making claims we would rate as false or unsupported.
No tracking pixels from advertisers. Ads are images and links we host; reporting is by impressions and clicks we count ourselves.
